Getting Unstuck - And Out of the Starting Gate
I’m in the process of wrapping up a project I’ve been working on for over three months. OK, honestly? More like a year...
It's pushed me so far outside my comfort zone - and challenged me to put to use the tools I’ve acquired over the years.
.
The hardest - and most important one? Asking for and accepting help - without guilt or shame.
To get to growth we have to wade our way through the discomfort.
I know that. And still...
There were so many times I wanted to scrap it. Throw in the towel. And call it a day.
(Just ask hubs. )
But my soul tugging pulls continuously brought me back.
You know what I realized? I was trying to get it all right. And by right I mean ‘perfect.’
I’d get so overwhelmed. And, I’d want to throw it all away.
So I stayed stuck.
Last week, after a call with my coach / publicist I had a major aha. I finally asked myself:
What am I afraid of?
This project is an online course with live coaching infused into the modules. It’s a big project and one that truly IGNITES my soul.
Work I feel called and honored to do.
So, what was I afraid of?
Falling short of perfect. And. The fear of putting myself out there.
When I would go to take a step, the BS stories would flood my mind:
I needed the perfect set.
The perfect script.
The perfect outfit.
The perfect gift.
The perfect email sequence.
The perfect photos.
The perfect ....
WTF?!
NO THANK YOU.
As soon as I realized that Perfection was trying to drive, I took the biggest leap yet.
ALL parts are in motion. Deadlines set. It’s GO TIME.
Because, what's the alternative?
No more staying stuck. Fear is not driving this mama anymore.
Which is why this pic might just be my favorite one...
My photographer snapped this yesterday - after we finished our mini session.
I didn’t know she was still taking pics.
It wasn’t planned.
Just me.
Channeling insane amounts of gratitude - feeling so connected to the Universe.
Truly feeling free.
And, back in the driver’s seat.

When we allow fear to drive, we rob the world of our gifts.
What would happen if you gave yourself permission to share your gifts - to be seen - exactly as you are?
~
If you're waiting for the perfect conditions or the one right way.
If you're paralyzed by the fear of putting yourself out there - of being seen - of failing.
If you're trying to map it all out to get it just right - getting ready to get ready to get ready.
If you're analyzing and over analyzing all your options - trying to figure out what the next best step is for fear of getting it wrong. Or fear of closing a door.
If you are struggling to take the leap - to do The Thing...
I've got you.
I know what it's like. And, I want to help. This isn't work we do alone.
Because YOU are worthy. And so fiercely capable.
And, asking for help and stepping into our lives fully and completely might just be the bravest thing we'll ever do.
